Hojicha (also spelled houjicha) is a unique, traditional Japanese green tea. Unlike classic green tea, the tea leaves are roasted at a high temperature. This gives the tea its characteristic warm-brown color, a surprisingly soft aroma, and a delicious nutty flavor with subtle notes of caramel and toasted rice.
